Lisa Carey has been fascinated with photography since she was young. This passion resulted in her minoring in photography in college and a career in print advertising fine tuned her visual eye. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, raising three children, and then surviving cancer during the Covid pandemic, Lisa found that diving back into photography was just what she needed and found it a distraction she loves. With her camera at hand throughout her day, she finds capturing moments of nature to be very therapeutic.
Lisa began posting a photo a day on Instagram to document her photography journey and has since won multiple awards, including recognition at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair. In 2025, she published her hardcover, coffee table book Living in the Moment on Nature's Time, featuring 300 photographs of Wisconsin. Her upcoming inspirational book, This Too Shall Pass, which also includes 150 photographs, reflects on her life’s journey and purpose will be released in April 2026.
